The 13th Festival of Education

Design Nautre Co-Directors will be speaking at this years’ Festival of Education event at Wellington College, on Thursday the 6th July.

Placing Sustainability At The Heart Of Your School Strategy

We are excited to announce that Design Nature co-directors, Karen Gracie-Langrick and Mark Mason, will be speaking at this years’ Festival of Education. They’ll be joining an interesting and exciting line-up of keynote speakers on day 1, where a whole range of education topics will be covered.

The festival has become the biggest professional learning event in secondary education in the UK.

Design Nature will be running an interactive, fun session, using many of the creative techniques (such as imagining and ideation) we use in our workshops with young people.

We’ll also be sharing our background motivations and behind-the-scenes reality of our journey to become a design-inspired, sustainable education Social Enterprise, demonstrating our approach to weaving together creativity, sustainability, and education.

There’s nothing like a real-world case study to bring this to life and we’ve worked and collaborated on loads of brilliant projects over the past 2 years. From strategy development and whole-school approaches to bespoke workshops in schools, collaborating with local NGO’s, community organisations and businesses.

The benefits of being a Community Interest Company (CIC) will also be shared and how as a start-up organisation, we’ve found creative ways to overcome challenges and potential barriers and achieve success (as well as empower a growing number of young people as ReDesigners for the climate, along the way).

Tickets are still available for this 2-day event and can be purchased from the Festival of Education website.
